My Strange Grandfather – Velikovskaya

Stop-motion animation about a little girl and her grandfather, who create a lovely machine out of the detritus washed up on a beach. Dream-like and ethereal, this poignant film reminds us that strange is good, and the weirdest can sometimes be that which we treasure most.

It’s not often that I will reblog anything even though I do follow quite a few different blogs in my Reader and I do “Like” quite a few different posts regularly but here is the exception. The stop motion short is exquisite and I can think of nothing sweeter to add as a narrative than what was originally penned. Enjoy this beautifully precious animation.

    Love.
